Who Can Visit?

My Neighbor's Place focuses on the Westside of Cincinnati. Most neighbors come from Westwood, East Westwood, and Cheviot — but everyone is welcome to come.

Food & Essentials

The pantry accepts donations of non-perishable items like canned goods, pasta, and peanut butter. If you would like to make a donation of fresh fruit or vegetables, please contact them — which also suggests fresh produce may be available depending on donations.

How to Pick Up

The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Come during those hours to receive food.

Additional Support

Beyond food, My Neighbor's Place offers a range of community programs and support:

  • The Café — Open every Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Enjoy coffee, a hot breakfast, and time with neighbors. There is also a cooking class on Thursdays at 1:00 PM.
  • Monthly Meals — Community Dinners are held every 4th Thursday of the month at 6:00 PM.
  • Community Resource Coordinator — Staff can help connect you with other local resources and social services.
  • Narcotics Anonymous (NA) — An open 12-step recovery group meets every Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Newcomers are welcome.

Facilities

My Neighbor's Place has a free clothing closet called The Closet, open every Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Doors open at 9:00 AM for coffee, donuts, and fellowship, followed by a short worship time at 9:40 AM. Around 10:00 AM, neighbors from the 45211 area can go shopping in the free clothing closet.

There is also a Ladies Luncheon every 4th Tuesday at 11:30 AM — a welcoming time for women with conversation, programs, and door prizes.

Ways to Give

My Neighbor's Place runs on donations and volunteer hours. Here is how you can help:

Donate food or goods:

  • The clothing closet needs gently used, clean clothing (infant through adult), shoes, kitchenware, fans, bedroom linens, towels, and baby gear.
  • The food pantry accepts non-perishable items like canned goods, pasta, peanut butter, meal helpers, and toiletries such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, diapers, and deodorant. For fresh fruit or vegetables, contact them first.
  • Drop off donations at the bins at Westwood United Methodist Church, 3460 Epworth Ave, Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or at My Neighbor's Place on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Donate money:

  • Financial donations help fund food purchases, programming, monthly meals, the annual Christmas party, and special events. Gifts are tax deductible.
  • Give online through Westwood United Methodist Church's giving website — mark the "My Neighbor's Place" box: Give Now
