Who Can Visit?

The Loveland LIFE Food Pantry serves people who live in the 45140 ZIP Code. On your first visit, you can receive food as long as you come during regular business hours. No paperwork is needed that first time.

For ongoing support, your income must fall within The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) guidelines. You will also need to complete paperwork on your second visit, and then again each year starting July 1.

Items Needed for Registration

You will need to bring some documents when you complete your paperwork (starting at your second visit).

If you live in subsidized housing:

  • Current photo ID for the head of household
  • For school-aged children: a school document, medical card, or insurance card for each child
  • For children not yet school age: a birth certificate or crib card
  • A copy of your current lease (if you have lived there less than one year) or your re-certification papers

If you do not live in subsidized housing:

  • A photo ID for every adult (18 or older) in your household
  • A piece of mail with your current address for each adult in the household
  • A bill in the head of household's name showing a current Loveland address in the 45140 ZIP Code, dated within the last 30 days

If you cannot provide a valid ID or proof of residency, the pantry can still offer limited food assistance.

How Often You Can Visit?

Families can visit once a month.

Good to Know

The pantry has a warm, welcoming feel. Reviewers say the staff and volunteers are kind, caring, and friendly — and that they remember who you are. The pantry has an indoor waiting area, so you can stay comfortable while you wait.

Food & Essentials

The pantry provides a wide range of food items. Based on what they need most, items on hand include:

  • Canned foods such as canned fruit, canned vegetables (peas and carrots), canned chicken, baked beans, and beef stew
  • Pasta, rice, and boxed meals like mac and cheese
  • Cereal, oatmeal, and granola bars
  • Peanut butter and other staples like mayonnaise, mustard, spices, and seasonings
  • Applesauce, Spaghetti Os, Manwich/Sloppy Joe, and Pop Tarts
  • Shelf-stable items like coffee, tea, and hot chocolate
  • Household essentials including paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and baby items like diapers (sizes 1, 4, 5, 6, 7), baby wipes, and Pull-ups

The pantry also accepts and distributes perishable foods including milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, meats, eggs, fresh fruits, and vegetables — available during regular operating hours.

How to Pick Up

LIFE Food Pantry uses a choice pantry model, meaning you shop and pick your own food items rather than receiving a pre-packed bag. A volunteer will guide you through the shopping experience. The pantry is designed to give visitors the dignity to select their own food.

Additional Support

Beyond food, the pantry also offers financial assistance for emergencies. To apply, you must be registered at LIFE Food Pantry, visit in person to fill out a request form, and routinely use pantry services. If it is your first visit, you can apply for limited financial assistance. Most requests are processed within seven working days, and money is sent directly to utility companies or landlords.

Ways to Give

There are several ways to support the pantry:

  • Donate funds online at lifefoodpantry.harnessgiving.org/donate. Your gift helps keep the shelves stocked and supports emergency financial assistance programs.
  • Donate non-perishable food by dropping items off at the pantry during regular hours, or use the donation bin located in front of the pantry at any time.
  • Donate perishable food (milk, eggs, fresh produce, meats, etc.) during regular operating hours only.
  • Host a food drive for your neighborhood, school, sports team, or workplace. Contact the pantry to coordinate a drop-off time.
